Vocations Sunday is this weekend - 17 April
Vocations Sunday is the day for churches to encourage everyone to reflect, discover and recognise God's call to them. Resources and study material can be found here.
Archbishop's Wave of Prayer
They Kingdom Come – A video from 24-7 Prayer explains why continuous prayer is a powerful way for churches to get involved with Thy Kingdom Come, the week of prayer across England for our nation to know Jesus Christ, called for by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York from 8-15 May 2016. Parish Giving Scheme
For the first time, in April 2016, the PGS collected more than one million pounds from donors. This sum was then uplifted with Gift Aid (where appropriate) and distributed to over 750 local churches that now participate in the scheme. Adult Safeguarding Conference
The East Sussex Conference will take place on Saturday 7th May 2016 at Crowborough, All Saints Church from 10am-3.30pm. New book soon to be published

Chancellor's Lectures at Chichester Cathedral
A series of four lectures given by the Cathedral Chancellor, Canon Dr Anthony Cane.The lectures are at 6.30pm in the Cathedral nave, following Evensong. Free entry, all are welcome. Full details here

In the Cathedral, there will be two ordination services where deacons will be ordained as priests:
On Saturday 21 May at 4.00pm, there will be an ordination of both men and women to the priesthood. The ordaining Bishop will be Bishop Richard.
On Sunday 22 May at 5.30pm there will be an ordination to the priesthood for those who on the grounds of theological conviction are unable to be ordained alongside women. The ordaining Bishop will be Bishop Martin.
Volunteers needed for South of England Show
Where better to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday weekend than at the South of England Show in Ardingly on 9, 10 and 11 June 2016, in Ardingly, West Sussex, where you can enjoy the best of the British countryside, food and drink and outdoor entertainment for the whole family. More here
