From the Favela’s to the Olympic Games! An Amazing Journey!

After competing in the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio De Janeiro, I visited Sebastio Coelho de Oliveirs, his two sons Ygor and Donnians Coelho and other children in the favelas. I wanted to see firsthand Sebastio's badminton courts and get a chance to help and play with the kids; it was so moving to see what badminton can do. This was the first time I saw Ygor play. This visit is one of the most memorable highlights of my badminton career. For full story click here.
