Every Thursday, UCLA campus partners will come together to light UCLA blue in support of our health care workers and all who are fighting on the front lines during the COVID-19 crisis. Iconic locations across campus, including Royce Hall, Powell Library, and the Oppenheimer Fountain on Wilshire and Westwood Blvd will all participate.
We invite you to join the cause by lighting local businesses, homes or offices blue or lighting it blue in your own way and sharing a photo on social media with the hashtags: #TeamLA #LightItBlue. Don’t forget to tag @UCLA and @WestwoodVillage for a chance to be featured.
In this small way, we can unite the nation as we express our gratitude and encourage each other during this challenging time.
The Westwood Village Improvement Association (WVIA) is accepting donations to purchase lunches from Westwood Village restaurants at a discounted price. These lunches will be distributed to UCLA frontline workers over a five-day period.
This effort will not only feed our UCLA frontline workers and neighbors who are fighting for our community, this effort will also support local restaurants struggling during this unprecedented public health crisis.
