COVID-19 - May 8, 2020

 Safer L.A. Roadmap to Recovery

Starting May 8, the City and County of Los Angeles will enter Stage II and begin the process of slow and gradual adjustments to the Safer at Home order. Physical distancing, face coverings and other safety measures will remain in place and will be even more important.

The second stage aims to transition Angelenos back to a “new reality,” with a slow and gradual change to some restrictions, while always ensuring that there are adequate safety measures in place.

Effective Friday, May 8, some retail establishments will be allowed to offer online/phone orders and curbside pick-up ONLY, including:
  • Florists
  • Toy stores
  • Music stores
  • Bookstores
  • Clothing stores
  • Sporting goods stores
  • Car dealership showrooms open for sales with adherence to distancing and cleaning and infection control protocol.
  • Restaurants will remain closed for dine-in guests.
We remind all LA County residents - continue to do your part to slow the spread of COVID-19:
  • Wear a face covering whenever you leave home
  • Wash hands throughout the day
  • Stay six feet away from people who don’t live with you
And don’t forget - you can get a free COVID-19 test if you have symptoms. All tests are confidential, and will tell you if you’re COVID-19 positive or negative.
