Established in 1981, the UN has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.
Each time that we, SacredFire, perform our concerts, offers workshops or produce our music recordings, this is precisely the intention that we hold in our hearts: peace. Deep, lasting, peace. For all.
Today, let's celebrate peace!
A word from Mj
In the last while, Dean has been working hard at editing the soon to be released official video for our song Moksha-Emotional Freedom (from our Journey to Infinity
album recorded with davidji
) and preparing our technical equipment for our upcoming Germany & Mexico retreats, while I have been playing around with some awesome footage that he has passionately filmed over the years, of animals... doing their animal thing. To raise awareness on Peace Day, I decided to add these images to our song "Shaman Rising", from our first album "Rising".
"Shaman Rising" is a tribute to the apprentice healer dancing his/her way on the path to awareness. I believe that we are all healers, in the magical co-creative sense of the word. May we all be inspired by the teachings of the forest and the animals to help us remember our true nature.
I have noticed that when I take the time to contemplate, observe and listen to animals & natural elements, I am inspired to attune to my earthly nature; to feel how connected and interdependent I am with everything. This helps put things into perspective. It makes me feel more calm - at peace. I can therefore radiate peaceful vibrations and affect the world around me in a positive way.
On this International Day of Peace, I wish that we, humans, fully realize that every living thing deserves to be respected. I wish us all more harmonious, relaxed lives, with more joy and overall health.
... And no more wars. Please, no more wars.
