The Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) program presented by The NAMM Foundation recognizes the outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of the curriculum. We salute the support and efforts exemplified by these districts and schools to assure that every child has the opportunity to learn and grow with music. Grantee Spotlight: Orchestre à l’Ecole

The NAMM Foundation has distributed music making grants to support a select number of nonprofit public service organizations. One such program is Orchestre à l’Ecole which is changing the lives of students across France by getting them involved in orchestra classes.

We are heading into our annual gathering at the NAMM Music Education Advocacy D.C. Fly-In, May 21-24. Each spring NAMM members gather in Washington, D.C. to serve as advocates for the right of every child to learn and grow with music by visiting with their elected representatives on Capitol Hill, as well as participate in a Day of Service with D.C. Public Schools. NAMM members and music education advocates are encouraged to follow us on social media to get live updates from the Hill.
