Hi again from OutCasting!
It's almost June and time to give you a sneak peek at our June installment of OutCasting OffAir. In case you missed last month's newsletter, we've launched OffAir as a monthly online feature designed to supplement our on-air content, which is aired on more than 45 public radio stations around the country plus one in Europe affiliated with the Pacifica Radio Network.
This month's OffAir feature is an audio essay by Brianna, a youth participant in our home studio in Westchester County, New York. In the essay, Brianna talks about the worst lie she ever had to tell. It'll be publicly released on June 1, but you can listen to it here now.
Also, Michelangelo Signorile dropped by yesterday to talk about the anti-LGBTQ backlash against the Supreme Court's Obergefell decision in 2015 that legalized same-sex marriage nationwide — for example, North Carolina's notorious HB2. This interview will be broadcast in July to loosely coincide with the political conventions; we'll let you know the exact date, of course, and in addition to its on-air broadcast, it will be released as a podcast on iTunes and online at http://outcastingmedia.org
Mike is an author, activist, and journalist. He is the host of The Michelangelo Signorile Show, a daily talk show on Sirius-XM Progress 127. He’s also editor at large of Huffington Post Queer Voices. His most recent book is “It’s Not Over: Getting Beyond Tolerance, Defeating Homophobia, and Winning True Equality.”

Thank you again for your support. We couldn't be doing any of this without you.
All our best,
