Healing Voices Presents a Cabaret Event on June 2

Jeannine Otis at Pranzo's in Santa Fe
We are thrilled to announce that Jeannine Otis, well-known vocalist and composer based in NYC, is coming to Santa Fe to tell her story for Healing Voices' 6th film of domestic violence survivors and to perform in a benefit for the film company.  She and her partner Larry Marshall will be sharing their talents in a cabaret setting upstairs at Pranzo's. Larry has had an outstanding career performing on Broadway in The Color Purple and Porgy and Bess at the Metropolitan Opera. Cover charge is $20 and goes to Healing Voices. Jeannine and Larry are generously sharing their talents as part of our fundraising and Pranzo's has donated the space. We will be filming the concert to have the option to include clips in "Jeannine's Story."  Seating is very limited. Pranzo's will have a varied menu available.   Email JoAnne to be put on the list. The event is at Pranzo's Italian Grill, 540 Montezuma, Santa Fe; Thursday, June 2nd; 6:00 PM. Please join us for this fabulous event!

Healing Voices presents at New Mexico School Boards Association 2016 Board Member Institute

Board Member and former NMSBA President Lilliemae Ortiz helped us prepare a presentation for the NM School Boards Institute in February.  Healing Voices' Board members Lynette Montoya and JoAnne Tucker were joined by in-coming NMSBA president Linda Trujillo, retired teacher Glenda DePaula (Cheyanne's Teacher) and new board member Crystal Sanchez. We shared "Cheyanne's Story" to a very attentive audience and had an excellent discussion of how they might encourage their school districts to incorporate awareness of teen dating violence and abuse into the curriculum. Contact us at if you would like us to present a similar program for your organization.
