Two New Films
We are currently in the editing stage of Francesca's Story. Of particular interest in this survivor's story is the role that police response played in first hindering her ability to leave her abuser and later helping her move on with her life. We anticipate it will be available by the end of the summer.
JoAnne Tucker first became aware of Barbara's Story when, as director of The Avodah Dance Ensemble, she was at York Correctional Institution in 2002. Unlike our other films this one shows how continual abuse led to an unfortunate crime and Barbara's incarceration. Barbara shared both what led to her crime and how she has rebuilt her life since then.
