Some days I wake up with very noticeable pain in my body. It comes with living. Some days I wake up and I notice I still believe in God. It comes from the faithfulness of God. The pain reminds me that I am still alive. The gift of being aware of my relationship with God reminds me that a life of prayer and service to God, and God’s creation, is a privilege I can’t forget I have been given. In all humility I pray for those who have no faith, for those who have no hope, for those struggling to cope, and for those who are alone. I use a prayer from a meditation that says, “Embrace them, Lord, I pray using these arms and this voice if it should be your will. Amen.”
