Celebrating our AWANA Year, 2019-2020
We are humbled and grateful for the opportunity to serve you - the children and families who join us in the Capital AWANA program. Every child and every week provides an awesome opportunity to learn and grow, to know, love, and serve the one true God, through His Spirit and His Son Jesus. This has been a year full of friendship, fun, and faithfulness at Capital AWANA! Fond memories of children happy to see each other and their leaders each week. For those who were able to join us online, it seemed to be even more so a special time to see each other and share what God is doing in our lives, reminding each other that He is a solid rock in the midst of every storm. The faithfulness of our families and leaders, making AWANA a priority each week, putting the things of God first, is both an inspiration and encouragement!
As we close the year, we are celebrating so many things!! New families who joined us; children who invited their friends, who joined us and then invited their friends. Children and Teens who put great time and effort into memorizing God’s Word and participating in class discussions to apply it to their lives. Opportunities to serve others – bringing in canned goods in the fall for the food pantry, and contributing money they earned themselves to fund new AWANA clubs. Ten children were able to attend AWANA for a whole year, thanks to our children’s generosity. Fellowship together, at the Grand Prix Derby, around a campfire, playing games. So many good memories – and precious opportunities to grow closer to God in a personal relationship that’ll continue for eternity. We’ll be emailing picture highlights to each family over the summer.
