I've been off of the grid for a couple of weeks since I sent my first message concerning this need. Yes, I was a bit surprised when I returned and saw that not one of our partners had responded. Maybe you are thinking that surely some people will get behind this. Could it be you? I just thought that I'd send this again in case it slipped through the cyber space cracks. Really, ANY amount will help. We are moving forward but need your help. We are getting wet during church services when it rains. (grin)
Eglise Baptiste Biblique is one of the churches that we started after everyone fled the war zone in 2002. Toumodi is a major crossroads in the center of Ivory Coast that is home to 120,000 people that are primarily Baoulé, the largest people group in the country.
This church is the home of The Bethesda Home and many of our modular Bible College courses take place there. On their own, they have built a small building, which makes us quite proud of their willingness to trust God to provide for them. However, the building is really not quite adequate. Now with new turmoil boiling in the country, we would like to encourage them with an act of kindness by helping them with the next phase of the building. Putting in the floor and closing it up.
Thanks to a gift from one of our partner churches, we will be doing some work on the Bethesda Home in June. While the crews are onsite, I'd love to put them to work on the church too. Would you like to encourage this strategic church? This phase can be completed for about $5000. Any amount that you give will move us along.
Please pray about having a part in helping Pastor Richard and this great church.
