We sincerely hope that you and your friends and family are doing well during these challenging times.

April 22nd is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day! While we cannot celebrate in person, join the Office of Sustainability for a week of creativity and at-home crafts to celebrate Earth Day 2020! Each of these projects can be done at home with supplies you likely already have so that you can combine your art skills with your sustainability passions. All activities are family friendly and open to everyone in the community. The week of activities starts on Monday, April 20th, and ends on Friday, April 24th. There will also be an art contest held throughout the week, which you can scroll to the bottom of this newsletter for more information.

Details about Earth Week will be shared through our social media pages:

If you're having trouble thinking of what to create, below are two examples to help inspire you!
Leanna's Plant Pot
This artwork was made with a soup can, a vegetable can, the inside of a broken light bulb, wire used to hang pictures, a screw, two bottle caps, and an old pin. The two cans were glued together and layered with rock and soil to make a new home for an aloe vera plant.
Kayla's Collage Painting
This artwork was made with a paper grocery bag, watercolor paints, pictures cut from reused books and magazines, tea boxes, and a thread with needle!
Artwork and recycled materials provided by Office of Sustainability members.
We look forward to seeing everyone's artwork to celebrate Earth Day 2020 and living more sustainably!
