Alberta Post-Secondary Fair

Your Connection to Post-Secondary Opportunities - Educational Liaison Association of Alberta

BCHS will host a post-secondary fair on November 30, 2022, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. It is a fantastic opportunity to ask questions to 28 Alberta post-secondary institutions, including Colleges, Universities, Technical Institutions, the RCMP, and the Canadian Forces.

You can inquire about programs, admission requirements, scholarships, housing, and more during this fair! Nowhere else do you get all these institutions in one place, so be sure to take full advantage of this opportunity to plan for your future.

A virtual post-secondary fair will also be running on Wednesday, November 9th, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. No pre-registration is necessary, and students do not have to stay the whole time. To join the event, go to and hover on the Members of ELAA menu.  Then select View ELAA Members from the drop-down menu.  Each member institution will have a link in its profile. You can visit as many institutions as you would like.
BCHS Staff, Students, and the community recognized Remembrance Day this week in two ceremonies. Students in band, drama, and leadership all contributed meaningfully to the event. As well, our cadets did a wonderful job presenting the colours and wreathes. Thanks to Mr. New, Mr. Dorner, Ms. Davidson, and Mr. Jones for your hours of work on this. It was a meaningful ceremony.
Our Chargers Football team wrapped up their 2022 fall season with a hard fought 28-27 loss to WH Croxford in the consolation final. The team played terrifically throughout the game and ended with a dramatic extra point attempt to tie that was blocked by the Croxford d-line. Well done to all the players and coaches - thank you for a great season.
Our Art 20/30 students had the pleasure of going to the Edison (the satellite gallery of The Glenbow while it's being renovated) to see the Dempsey Bob show. After that, they went to AuArts to see the Heather Hart show, Northern Oracle. A great, hands on learning experience for our students! Thanks for sharing Ms. Tschritter.
On Thursday, Nov 17th, Ms. Tschritter is hosting a parent information meeting on the Ottawa/Montreal trip planned for the spring of 2024. If you would like more information on this trip, please come to the meeting at 6:30 PM in the art room!
Our leadership students are again offering an official BCHS gear order for our community. Please follow the link below.
