Protecting North Stradbroke Island’s remarkable natural and cultural heritage
On the 26th May 2016, the Queensland Parliament passed legislation to phase out sand mining on Minjerribah / North Stradbroke Island by 2019. This decision is the best outcome for the Quandamooka people, the environment and the future sustainability of the island. Read more

Coral Bleaching
With election campaigns in full swing, now is the time to look carefully at what politicians are touting as policy.  Whilst the economy is dominating the media and political campaigns, it is tough to draw attention to our precious protected areas.

For the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, it is even more critical to act now to keep politicians on both sides committed to protecting our natural assets. The latest results have been released for the recent bleaching event and the news is not good. This is a huge wake up call for the community, government and the industries that depend on the reef and the natural environment.  Read more

You will bring enthusiasm and past success to drive member and supporter growth, and experience to undertake successful fundraising activities.  You will have the opportunity to build upon existing programs and develop creative new initiatives.
