Andy Parsons Line Up Details

By way of making this easier for myself whilst I'm drinking beer in the garden on a Sunny Sunday afternoon I thought I would copy and paste a press notice below that I just sent to Archant (I think they're still called that - let me know).
However, please ignore the bit about subscribing to the mailing list as you've already done that.

The press notice was written about an hour ago so, hopefully, it will still be helpful and informative.
Generally though, I'm actually really excited about this September's gig/s despite being currently attacked by a wasp as I write. About 10 minutes ago I nearly drank one of the little feckers. I changed my shirt because I thought that was attracting them but alas...I think it might be my beer. Where was I? Ah right...read the bit below and then buy some tickets. Oh yeah...the line ups. Proud as punch to boast these line ups. Best in both counties. If you know your comedy you should know how spoilt you are! Bloody wasps!

Local comedy promoters WCB Comedy have announced that TV comedian Andy Parsons is set to perform headline comedy sets at Southwold Arts Centre and Gorleston's Ocean Room on Friday 9th September.

Andy is a multi-award-winning comedian who, to date, has done six sell-out national tours and released four DVDs.

Andy started his career writing for Smith and Jones, and as one of the main writers on the ground-breaking Spitting Image satirical puppet show. As well as being a regular on Mock The Week for ten years, Andy has performed on numerous radio and TV shows including Live at the Apollo, QI, Saturday Live, The Stand Up Show and The Comedy Store.

Paul Dunn from WCB Comedy said, "Being able to offer acts a combined fee for both these fantastic gigs means we're able to attract higher profile acts to headline our gigs. Also appearing at both gigs in September is circuit headliner, Comedian, Songwriter, Musician, Actor, One man band, Duncan Oakley who was voted English Comedian of the Year in 2015 and Midlands Comedian of the Year 2016. Duncan has performed on the UK comedy circuit since 1999, appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and on BBC Radio 4.

Further support at Southwold includes Meryl O'Rourke and MC Jason Stampe.

At Gorleston, the X factor 4 buzzer champ and wonderfully daft El Baldiniho along with brilliant MC Justin Panks complete this fantastic line up.

I was gonna put a promo video here but I was being attacked by a wasp again and it was too complicated a task for a man trying drink beer and do a mailshot.

The missus keeps laughing at me for getting attacked. Serves me right for laughing at her when Alexa wasn't taking any bloody notice of her earlier. She was there about 10 minutes trying to get it to play the soundtrack to the new Elvis filum.

WCB Comedy are proud to anounce a very special headliner for our October Comedy show at Southwold Arts Centre.

Hal Cruttenden has been one of the top comedians working in the UK for over a decade. He’s performed on Live at the Apollo 3 times, The John Bishop Show, Have I Got News For You, Great British Bake Off Extra Slice, The Royal Variety Performance and Channel 4’s Comedy Gala. Loads of other stuff. The bloke's never off the bloody telly. He's dead good.

Our MC is Ben Van der Velde. A stand-up comedian, actor, improviser and presenter.

Over the past decade he has spread joy and nonsense to all four corners of the British Isles, as well as Greece, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Estonia, Latvia, Finland and Norway.

He is a regular host and act for respected British comedy clubs such as The Comedy Store, Komedia, The Backyard, The Glee, Covent Garden Comedy Club, The Stand, Comedy Loft, Top Secret Comedy, Outside the Box and the Frog & Bucket.

“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.” Huffington Post.

Opening the show is not Rachel Jackson as mentioned earlier as she has had to commit to a family do (all in good time so no issues). We will now pull our finger out and get someone else and replace her picture up above when we've sorted it. Update. I just remembered that I still haven't sorted this out.

Our first confirmed headliner for 2023 is for 28th April's show which is another double up at Southwold Arts Centre and Gorleston's Ocean Room.

Here's the hint. His name rhymes with Carcass Fridge Block. We're gonna do a date in February too but currently being given the bloody run-around. Still being attacked by wasps too.
