A wonderful Civic Dialogue workshop in Wales!

From 9 to 12 April 2015, we were welcome in Wales by our partner PLANED who co-organised our 1st workshop entirely dedicated to Civic Dialogue. The 1st day, visits and exchange with local actors and PLANED staff helped us understanding how the organisation works with and for local communities in order to support the local development ,  a clear example of Community-Led Local Development. The 2nd day, the floor was given to participants to present some of their projects enhancing citizens participation and dialogue between stakeholders with a wide range of topics such as: management of Natura 2000, Rural parliaments, designing social mobilisation on local level, or fostering care services in municipalities for instance... We finished with an intensive and enrich training by PLANED that shared the methods they usually use to accompagny local communities to design their action plan. Brain work was completed by activities for soul and body: sharing music, dances and local food !

Save the date! Youth Gathering on 23-26 October, 2015 - The Netherlands.
From 23 - 26 October 2015, Forum Synergies will hold a YOUTH Gathering. The event will be co-organised with the "Future Farmers in the Spotlight" network (http://future-farmers.net/) - an organisation that wants to show and share inspiring stories about young farmers who have – despite the many difficulties – managed to set up farming initiatives which are innovative, viable and sustainable! We will meet in the Warmonderhof (http://warmonderhof.nl/), an organic farmschool near Wageningen in the Netherlands. We want to build on the results of our Youth workshop held during the ERSG 2014 in Beaufortain where we identified main topics the youth is concerned about as there are:
1) Networking: How to motivate people to work on youth topic together/ with different stakeholders
2) Access to land and capital as a key factor for young people to set up in rural areas
3) Rural community and youth: Preparation of areas for youth coming back to live in them; Youth as part of community
4) How to link education and rural areas:
