Happy New Year Julie

If you've decided that your new year means getting creative and joining a flower arranging class - then read on for details.

A class near you?

I'm taking stock of where and when I teach my classes and I'd love to hear from you.  I've drawn up a quick online survey of 10 questions, which should only take you a minute or two to click through.

It would be great to hear your ideas for new venues and what you'd like to learn.  Click here and grab your chance to influence my workshop schedule this year!

What's your favourite spring flower?

It's tulip time of year for me - I love arranging them simply in a glass vase.

If you're after more inspiration I've found this great little video clip.  A word of advice though, if you have a go at the goldfish bowl arrangement note how short Erin cuts those stems ... if you can't bear being so cruel to your tulips, leave them out of water for a while, until they become more pliable.

Classes for January and February

This month you have the option of booking onto an eight week course at Ashford on a Monday evening, a three week class at Canterbury on a Tuesday morning; and a one -off class in Deal on Saturday 6 February.

Click on the images below and it'll take you through to the information/booking pages with Kent Adult Education - I look forward to seeing you in class.

And on the blog ...

If you read one thing on my blog this week it should be the inspirational story of Rebecca at Dazzle Me Daisy Do - she balances life as a mother to five boys with her passion for celebrating life with her funeral tributes.  Rebecca came to class at the Ashford Gateway a year or two ago and is now an Award-winning florist courtesy of the Good Funeral Awards!

I love hearing what you've been up to so please do let me know by commenting on my posts or coming to say "hi" on social media, using the hashtags #JDFW #TheFloristThatTeaches.

With best wishes and happy flowers,

Julie x
