Geek the Vote with STA

Science & Technology Australia wants to send 226 copies of The Geek Manifesto to Federal Representatives – that’s one copy for every politician in the House - before Science meets Parliament. But time is running out – will you pledge to buy one copy before 17 September when 200 scientists go to Canberra to deliver them? Get involved in the online campaign here.

Use your head, get covered

Accidents happen. However, you may not know that you're not covered by workers' compensation during your travel to and from work. Unless you're a Staff Association member, that is. Since 2007, all CPSU and Staff Association members have received free journey cover. This safety net is only available to union members. More information and poster download here.

Union dues are tax-deductible

Don't forget that your Staff Association dues are tax deductible. If you pay your membership by direct payroll deduction, your dues will appear on your end of financial year group certificate. If you pay by cheque or credit card, you should have already received a statement from the Staff Association. Please email csstaff@cpsu.org.au if you require any further assistance.
