Wireless jobs wasted despite WiFi windfall

Despite reaping almost half a billion dollars in WiFi patent royalties over the past decade – including $220 million earlier this year – CSIRO is planning to cut several key research positions in its wireless laboratories, citing budget pressures. Read more here.  

Is Effort Logging choking innovation? 

Improvements to the Effort Logging process – introduced by management eighteen months ago in response to widespread staff complaints – appeared to have failed, with growing concerns that the controversial system is stifling innovation within CSIRO, writes Staff Association Treasurer Dr Scott Wilkinson here.
 

Financial pressure - have your say  

In the lead up to December's Consultative Council meeting with management, the Staff Association is seeking the views of CSIRO staff on financial pressure. AGM Thursday 6 December
