Asian Studies and Your Future

What can you do with an Asian Studies minor? Virtually anything. Graduates of our program have pursued graduate work in a variety of disciplines, some related to the study of Asia. Alumni are also teaching and working in various parts of Asia. With 60% of the world's population in Asia, opportunities to work with NGOs, educational institutions, and businesses will continue to be available. If you are interested in learning more about how the Asian Studies minor can help you do more that you want to do, set up an appointment to talk with the Asian Studies Program Director at asianstudies@as.ua.edu.

Study and Travel in Asia

We have just begun the Fall semester, but it is not too early to begin thinking about studying in Asia for a semester or next summer. Study Abroad opportunities for Alabama students are administered through Capstone International. If you are concerned about paying for study abroad, check out Capstone International's Other Scholarships page and the Asian Studies Scholarships page. Some deadlines are approaching, so don't delay.
