Do you set goals each year? Here are the things I have to do:
Finish with the beta read edits for The Final View because I have already booked my editor for March 1st.
Record the guitar music for the short video I am making as an homage to my characters Thomas and April. I bought a new microphone which makes that audio quality much better.
What I want to do:
Start writing a new science fiction book
Start writing a new poetry book
And the most obvious one: sell more books.
Of course I would like to sell more books this year. I write because I enjoy it, I write because it entertains others, and the end goal is to make some money doing what I love.
With a trilogy available, the hope is that most readers will enjoy the first book (which can be read as a stand-alone story) enough to continue to the end of the series. As a special bonus, I have an interview with the characters of the book, plus the video tribute I mentioned above.
Readers can't access these until they are finished the series since there are spoilers. I know that some of you have already pre-ordered The Final View, and I appreciate your support.
On the poetry front, I recently ended my publishing agreement with Friesen Press. They made Lines by Leon available on all eBook platforms but the majority of the sales came from Amazon, so I decided to save the money and republish it myself.
The Kindle version is available now and I will have the paperback ready soon.
