Dear Concert Goer

The first organ recital at All Saints Stamford (Red Lion Square) is this Friday, 5th July at 1pm, and is given by Felix Elliott, the Recital Prizewinner, London Organ Competition for Teenagers, held in 2017. Felix is now 18 years old, and has just finished his last year at Hampton School in London, and taking his A-levels in music, maths and philosophy.

He was supposed to give a concert at All Saints last Summer, but the organ was playing up badly due to the prolonged hot spell (remember that?), and his concert had to be cancelled. This year Felix's concert includes a series of chorale preludes by Bach, the exciting toccata “Power of Life” by Mons Leidvin Takle, the Norwegian contemporary organist, and ends with Felix’s own Toccata. It promises to be a lunchtime concert to remember.

With video projection of the player. Retiring collection. Friday is Market Day: expect the town to be busy. Scotgate Car Park is nearest: PE9 2YB.

Concerts are every Friday at 1pm in July. Why not pop along - you can bring a sandwich!

Best wishes

Fergus Black
