Christmas Treasures

8th December at 7:30pm

On Saturday, 8th December, Soprano Gabriella Pineda-Rodrigues is joined by pianist Kate Wishart for an evening of “Christmas Treasures”, including a mix of popular and classical favourites such as Mary Did You Know, Come Sing & Dance (Howells), Maria Wiegenlied (Reger), and Walking in the Air, etc..

There are also young people performing in this concert: children from the All Saints' Church choir will be singing, and there will be appearances by the young violinist Annike van Tonder, and pianist Rhea Sehgal, who won classes at the Stamford Music Competition in June.

“Christmas Treasures” promises to be a superb evening of Christmas music and fun, and there will be plenty of opportunity for the audience to join in with some of the songs.

Tickets from Stamford Arts Centre, 01780 763203 or on the door.
Accompanied children free (no ticket needed)

With seasonal refreshments.
Organ Recital with Cello

9th December at 3pm

I am giving an organ recital at All Saints on Sunday 9th December at 3pm. There is some serious music, but not much - this is a light concert, with tunes, and almost all the pieces are based on well-known carols. There are also a number of arrangements for cello and organ for which I am joined by the cellist Cleo Wood. The finale is a “spot the carol” piece: a pot-pourri of a dozen carols all mixed up, and hidden in the music, for the audience to identify if they can. See how many you can spot. The concert lasts about an hour.
