|Essential Oil of the Month: Peace and Calming
Peace & Calming is a popular essential oil blend because of it's relaxing floral scent. It is great for easing the mind after a stressful day. It helps promote a restful night's sleep, and is great for helping children and pets relax.
It is a blend of ylang ylang, blue tansy, patchouli, tangerine, and orange.
It is very gentle, and many pregnant women use it to help with relaxation and a deep sense of well-being. Inhale deeply, or wear as a perfume.

Celebrate Women's Health Week!
Dr. Brenda Trudell
They say we are created equal, but when it comes to health issues, men and women are very different and should be treated differently. Women have unique health circumstances, such as menstruation, pregnancy and menopause, hormone cycles that are not present in men, and they metabolize drugs, supplements and foods differently. May is National Woman’s Health Month, and we want to help women take steps towards a longer, healthier, happier life.
Today’s lifestyle is very different from generations past. Along with technological advances designed to make our lives easier comes added stress as we try to cram more into each day. Our physical health suffers as more things are done for us, causing us to be less active. Nutrition also decreases as more foods are prepared and processed, and have less nutritional value. When you add stress, less exercise and poor nutrition to an already delicate system, the results can be detrimental for women’s health.

|Join our Prenatal Wellness Event!
Pregnancy is the most important time in a woman's life. It is also a time when she needs to take of herself the most, and make sure she has access to the best pre and post-natal care around.
Unfortunately, many moms-to-be have no idea about the wonderful resources available to them, and that many are local. A lot of moms do not know not that chiropractic and acupuncture can help turn breech babies, or that massage therapy can help reduce swollen ankles, or that chiropractic can help infants improve breast feeding, or that doulas are available to provide continuous labor support.
Dr. Trudell has put together a fabulous panel of birth providers to cover a variety of topics for pregnant women, including midwifery, doula support, childbirth education, lactation consulting, prenatal chiropractic, massage therapy, acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, yoga, fitness, placenta encapsulation, nutrition and aromatherapy.
Please join us for this one of a kind event to connect with local providers and help make your birth the best possible. This event is free for all expecting moms, RSVP required as space is limited. Saturday, May 10th from 1-4 pm at New Beginnings Chiropractic.
