As the Policyholder, What are You Responsible for?

As a NYSIF Policyholder you are responsible for alerting NYSIF, and your Policy Manager IRC Group Services, to any changes to your policy. This includes any of the following:
  • Change in the nature of the work being performed
  • Changes to your staff or in payroll
  • Adding or Removing an entity to your policy
  • Change in your business structure (ex. incorporation)
  • New Federal Employers Identification Number (FEIN)
All Workers' Compensation Claims Must Be Filed Electronically
Effective March 1, 2014 the NYS Workers' Compensation Board mandated that all claims for Workers' Compensation must be filed electronically. Paper C-2 Forms are no longer accepted by the Workers' Compensation Board, or by NYSIF. If an employee becomes injured or ill as the result of a work-related incident and a claim needs to be filed, you must do so using the eFroi system.
