Cobb County Republican Women's Club update...

Sheila J. Brower, CCRWC PresidentDear <<First Name>>,
First of all, thanks to all the mothers who have done so much, especially during this time. Many of you are working from home, some of you are teaching from home, some are working on the line as you take care of our sick with this horrible COVID-19 virus… nurses, doctors and first responders! We just thank you! I know too that many of you have concerns with going out, with the social distancing and our prayer is this will reach its peak and we can return to some degree of “normalcy” again.

With all of that in mind, the CCRWC officers and board members have made the decision to having our May 22nd meeting via Zoom. Once we work out the logistics, we will send out the instructions and any sign on requirements. Please watch for instructions as this is all worked out. Our goal is to keep all of us safe and healthy.

Our current plan is to have our General Meeting June 26th at the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel & Conference Center located at 500 Powder Springs St. SW, Marietta, GA from 11:30-1:00 p.m. which is our usual meeting place.  Watch for more information after the first of June.

I also want to remind you to submit your membership application by the extended deadline of May 31st.  Our printed directory will have only those members who have completed their application by the deadline. If you have an interest in sponsoring the directory, the levels and other information are provided as you scroll to all the other information in this newsletter. Thanks for making the decision to join us and we look forward to meeting you.

Our other deadline is the Cobb County Republican Women’s Club Babe Atkins-Byre $1,000 Scholarship. Scholarship applications need to be completed and submitted by June 1st. Please go to our website at CCRWC.org to apply online or get a mail-in PDF form. We will be announcing the senior scholarship winner at our June 26th luncheon.

I know many of you are interested in hearing from some of the candidates and we want you to “Save the Dates” for our scheduled Candidate Forums. The forums will be held via Zoom and are scheduled for Monday, May 18 and Tuesday, May 19.  Many of you have been to our forums and we hope you will put these dates on your calendar. We are very excited about doing this and hope you will be on Zoom with us. I look forward to all we are going to accomplish together and to hearing your suggestions/comments... we are here for a Get Out the Vote in 2020! VICTORY IN 2020!

If you have any questions about your membership, please feel free to contact our Membership Chair, Lori Chastain at lpchastain@gmail.com. We will also have this information and as mentioned before, a membership form can be found on our website at www.CCRWC.org.

May God continue to bless you all and keep you safe,

Sheila Brower
