"This was absolutely fabulous, especially during this pandemic.  Your courses are highly educational and help students learn as well as be distracted from the sadness in the world right now.  Thank you.

Music Workshop for the Classroom

If you are one of the many music teachers that signed up for Music Workshop this spring, you may not realize that the program was designed and built for the classroom. The Q&A section is built to be a wonderful time for interaction and sharing between the students and their teacher. Also remember, music history & appreciation is a great activity that doesn't require singing, sharing instruments or touching! And one final note - our program is always offered free of charge.

Lesson Plan with Music Workshop

What will your classroom and lessons look like in the fall? We are not sure and it may look different depending on where you are. Music Workshop's program is made to be flexible in any situation. Whether you are distance learning or back in the classroom, Music Workshop can be used to introduce a new unit, supplement a unit or as a ready-to-go sub plan. The courses can be grouped to create it's own unit like Sections of the Orchestra or Genres.

Song Lists

We made a Spotify playlist of the music of each course!
Do you and your students love the music from the Music Workshop courses? Want to listen to the amazing music you heard in the course? Now you can access the music of Music Workshop as a Spotify playlist. Spotify is a free music streaming platform (you can pay for a premium account). Click below for our account and you will have a listing of the songs used in each course. This fall, we will be adding the playlists to our site as part of the optional supplemental materials.

Our newest course is getting ready to launch, and great news - its a BOGO. Ha! Not really since they both are free, as always. But, the music of Latin American is so robust and diverse that we made the exploration of this culture's music into two courses. The Latin American music courses are divided into Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America (part 1) and South America (part 2). Both examine the beautiful sounds, instruments and melodies of Latin America. Launching this fall!
