Hello <<First Name>>
As we come to the end of the month and the closing moments of our Elland's Happiness Lab project, I wanted to say a big thank you for being with us.
Whether you've joined us locally or supported us from afar, we are so grateful! It was wonderful to celebrate the project with so many people at our recent showcase event and if you weren't able to be there, don't worry, there's something special for you coming up on Friday!
Elland's Happiness Lab started in November 2021 and has engaged hundreds of people in creative wellbeing activities, exploring what happiness means to them and how Curious Motion can support this now and in the future. It's been a momentous and special project, and this is just the start!
Read on to share in the joy and let's keep the conversation around happiness going...

Documentary Online Premiere - this Friday!

To help tell the story of Elland’s Happiness Lab we commissioned local filmmakers, Rainbow Trout Films to make a special documentary for us.
Featuring lots of our wonderful participants, this feel-good film shares experiences, thoughts, and hopes for the future. It's also the perfect way to see us in action!

Friday 29th July at 6pm

WOW! What a night! On Friday 15th July we were joined by over 70 local people to celebrate Elland's Happiness Lab together.
The evening involved a screening of the documentary, a preview of our happiness exhibition, and a very special Dance Taster Menu - a series of dances created in response to the themes and ideas the community shared with us throughout the project, and performed by two of our dancers - Isla and Matt!
There was also great food, conversation, and by the end of the night the whole room was dancing with us! A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along and to our amazing team of artists and volunteers for making it happen!
Here's some of the lovely photos from the night, taken by Ernesto Cerrato from St Augustine's, and do check out our website for more.

Exhibition now in Elland Library
|
|
Call into Elland Library to see our wonderful happiness exhibition, created by people of all ages from across Elland and beyond!
The exhibition displays hundreds of creative responses to the question 'What does happiness mean to you?' via our happiness cards. The cards visited schools, groups, and homes across the area throughout the project to collect notes, drawings, and writing and they are now on display for you to enjoy!
The exhibition is running until Friday 26th August during normal library opening times.
