2014 Auto Tech Trends

The Buffalo Auto Show recently took place and cars are getting more futuristic and adapting to the tech savvy needs of the consumer. Our on-the-go lifestyle now demands that cars work with us and for us while on the move. Car makers have been shifting to integrating connectivity and several more tech features for our convenience as standard "options". Some examples of these features are Ford's partnership with Microsoft to develop the SNYC and MyTouch in-car hands free blue-tooth systems and GM's MyLink, intellilink and CUE systems.  Location based information services are now more popular than ever and manufacturers will even be integrating internet into cars in the very near future. Keep an eye out for these and more cool tech trends in the automotive industry, but while doing so...make sure you also keep an eye on the road.

This year, we were extremely proud to deliver one of the featured cars to the Buffalo Niagara Auto Show. The 2012 Lotus Evora GP Edition is one of only 15 reported to be in the United States and this vehicle is also stored at our facility while its not on display. Car of the Month - 1966 Impala SS

The Chevrolet Impala; “a prestige car within the reach of the average American”.  This 1966 Impala Super Sport is not your typical family car.  With an unsuspecting 396 cubic inch motor putting out an astounding 325 horsepower, this sport coupe was one of the most desirable American automobiles of its time!

Featuring options such as leather bucket seats, power steering and a black vinyl roof, this Impala is ready to hit the streets, and leave its mark there too. This particular SS features a fresh mechanical rebuild on the 396 motor and Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission. Both are believed to be original. This significant piece of GM history is also sporting newer Hankook white wall tires, SS wheels and a rust free undercarriage. This Super Sport is also the proud recipient of new paint and looks absolutely stunning in its factory correct white exterior.

Also accompanying the vehicle are original dealer documents rarely ever seen with a car of this vintage. To substantiate the correctness and authenticity of this 1966 Impala SS we have the original window sticker, dealer service book, copies of the original titling documentation and original Protect-O-Plate.

Sorry to crush your dreams but the car was just sold. It will be going to Maine, where its new owner also owns several other classic Chevrolet Impalas. Check back soon to see our next classic for sale.

TJ's Tips: Do you have the right vehicle insurance policy?

If you own, drive or maintain ANY vehicle, STOP and read this! You may have incorrect insurance for your vehicle use and type or even worse, you may even be under insured. When is that last time you had your vehicle professionally appraised or your insurance policy reviewed? Did you hear about the sinkhole at the Corvette museum in Bowling Green, KY? A disaster like that is a wake up call that things can happen anytime, anywhere and you should always be prepared. We recommend having an appraisal report professionally done for your collector, exotic, classic or antique vehicle and a copy submitted to your insurance company every 2-3 years, or, after any improvement such as wheels, tires, updated mechanical work or installing aftermarket parts. Spring is right around the corner so before taking your pride and joy out on the streets, get an appraisal and let the experts help safeguard your investment! Call us today!

Clip Of The Month

Click the photo to watch the first Lamborghini Veneno hit US shores in Miami

A couple of months back, we featured the coveted Lamborghini Veneno. We talked about its rarity and how only 3 would ever be sold to the public, one with green accents, one with red and one with white to match the 3 colors of the Italian flag. Now the photos and videos of the first Veneno being delivered to Miami businessman Kris Singh have surfaced. Check out this one thanks to the DuPont Registry.
