10AM-5PM - UPPER PLAYGROUND Featuring the fabulous talent show, tasty eats from local restaurants, game booths, inflatables, and much more!

TEACHER/STAFF RAFFLE Enter to win a memorable experience with GV teachers and staff. Raffle offerings were sent home in the Tuesday Envelope and can be found at Raffle tickets will be available at the fair and all proceeds go to MBEF.

CHILI COOK OFF Dust off that crock pot, test that secret family recipe, and enter the Chili Cook Off! Contestants please contact Amanda Zaumeyer or Ali Snyder.

BOOK SALE BOOTH Clean out your closets and go under the beds to donate used books, DVDs and CDs to the Grand View Fair Used Book Booth. Drop off your donations in the Library hallway. There will also be a drop box at the flag pole and at the Bell Rd. entrance. Questions? Contact Bobbie Kokorowski.

Gator Run Thanks from MBEF

TO THE RUNNERS, VOLUNTEERS, AND BUSINESS PARTNERS With 1162 runners and 138 volunteers from our seven schools, we had a record turnout this year! AUTHOR VISIT 5/18 Thanks to our friends at {pages} bookstore middle grade author Lisa McMann (Unwanteds series) will visit GV on 5/18 to speak to our 4th and 5th graders and her books are available online from {pages}. Lisa McMann will make a store appearance at {pages} on 5/18 at 4pm.

GV LIBRARY RECEIVES $1,000 DONATION To show his appreciation for {pages}, our extraordinary local indie bookstore, a primary grade children's author (who wishes to remain anonymous) has gifted the MBUSD elementary school libraries $5,000 to be shared equally and spent at {pages}. Thank you!

Sundance Edu-Doc at MCHS - 5/26 6:30pm

"MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED" Come to Mira Costa High School on 5/26 at 6:30pm for a FREE screening of an edu-documentary that explores how schools can change to prepare for the demands of the 21st century marketplace. GRAND VIEW CLAIMS SOCCER VICTORY AFTER 5-YEAR DRY SPELL GV parents supported two teams (Team Grand and Team View) in the Jeff Goodrich MBX Soccer Tournament on 5/2 and contributed $4,725 to the tourney which will raise nearly $35,000 for MBX. Team View toughed it out through injuries and no subs to play Del Sol, Meadows, and MBMS--their efforts helping to wear down the solid MBMS team which Team Grand went on to beat in the championship round.
ULTIMATE WINNERS--OUR KIDS Grand View will receive $1,000 towards the purchase of sports related equipment and MBX will continue to fund great programs for the community including providing new fields at Mira Costa.
