Victory!
GRAND VIEW CLAIMS SOCCER VICTORY AFTER 5-YEAR DRY SPELL GV parents supported two teams (Team Grand and Team View) in the Jeff Goodrich MBX Soccer Tournament on 5/2 and contributed $4,725 to the tourney which will raise nearly $35,000 for MBX. Team View toughed it out through injuries and no subs to play Del Sol, Meadows, and MBMS--their efforts helping to wear down the solid MBMS team which Team Grand went on to beat in the championship round.
ULTIMATE WINNERS--OUR KIDS Grand View will receive $1,000 towards the purchase of sports related equipment and MBX will continue to fund great programs for the community including providing new fields at Mira Costa.
THANK YOU, PLAYERS Alan Franz, Marc Gallagher, Mike Gerhardt, Gil Horta, Paul Kokorowski, Jeff Serota, Charles Southey, Dan Finnerty, Bradley Losson, Steve Nash, Jonas Hudson, Paolo Marescalchi, Joe Dixon, Paul Goncalves, Michael Henry, Fred Koerber, Ben Padnos, Mike Tarnay, Jim Webster, and Judd Gilefsky.
