Tips for the 1st Week & Beyond

PURCHASE LUNCHES IN ADVANCE
1ST DAY AM-K 8am-11:20 1st-5th 8:15am-1:30pm PM-K 11:25am-2:45pm
ESTABLISH A WEDNESDAY PICK UP PLAN All students are dismissed at 1:30pm on Wednesdays all year (exception: Kindergarteners will have a regular day the first day of school).
EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM Email Susana Anton or call 310/546-8022 x5453 for info.
WEAR GREEN Every Friday we wear the color green to show school spirit.
BE GREEN When possible pack a trash-free lunch and walk to school. Check out the September Trash-Free Lunch Contest!

Be Safe Out There

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP ZONES Follow the rules of the road. Obey posted signs. Keep goodbyes short and sweet in the drop-off lanes. Children exit and enter the car from the passenger side only. Drivers must remain with their cars in the drop-off lane or risk a ticket or a tow. When parking in the lot pull all the way forward in the spot.

8/27 K-1 Back to School Night

PARENTS ONLY Meet Principal Rhonda Steinberg and your child's teacher. Learn about school traditions and classroom expectations.

NEW EDP FAMILIES Meet with Susana Anton 8/27 from 6-7pm in Room A-3 for details about the Extended Day Program.

9/4 Application Deadline

FOR ROOM PARENT, YAA, GOG, SCI LAB Want to be really involved? Apply to be considered for the position of room parent, Young At Art docent, Grades of Green rep, or science lab assistant. Thank you!

Classroom Emergency Kits

9/15 ORDER DEADLINE Kits have a 5-year shelf life, so order only if you don't have yours from last year to send with your child this fall. Order an extra kit for EDP, or one for a sibling!

Trash Free Lunch Contest

Start the new school year off right and pack a trash-free lunch EVERY day! The student who brings the most trash-free lunches during September will win a free dinner for four at Rock & Brews-El Segundo. Plus, throughout the year, kids who are trash-free or sort lunch waste could qualify to win Fresh Brothers pizza or Sketchers shoes. Click here for more info.
