Principal Message
"WHAT IF TODAY, WE WERE JUST GRATEFUL FOR EVERYTHING?" --CHARLIE BROWN We are nearing the end of our celebration of the value of Gratitude in our lives. Please mark your calendars for our culminating all-school assembly on 11/30 at 9:45 on the upper playground to celebrate Gratitude. There will be music, skits, an appearance by our Gator mascot, awards, and a surprise at the end. Our Student Council is working hard on their first spirit assembly and they are so excited to share the event with all of you!
THIS WEEK'S GRATEFUL GATOR CHALLENGES
- Take a moment this week to thank a teacher who has believed in you. Here is a video to inspire young and old!
- Meet up with our Joyful Giving student community service club on 11/24 at 8:30am at the Manhattan Beach Pier for a Pier to Pier Family Gratitude Walk along the Strand that will benefit Families Uniting Families, a foster organization in Long Beach. Look for our GV students carrying signs that explain why they are walking and what they are grateful for in their own lives. Thirty children will carry buckets to collect donations along the way. Everyone is welcome to join the fun --feel free to wear silly Thanksgiving gear! Questions? Contact Anne Hellie or Ellen Padnos.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by those you love!
Gratefully,
Mrs. Doyle
