Annual Appeal Going Strong
APPEAL ENDS 2/15 Thank you to those families who have donated. Without parent donations, our schools would not enjoy the many programs that the State's budget cannot provide. Classes that reach 75-94% participation will receive $200 in classroom supplies and those that reach 95% and above will receive $250 for supplies to use this year. Every donation counts, no matter the dollar amount! Please consider donating at

general symptoms to look for to determine if it's a cold or the flu.
MEASLES IN CALIFORNIA Measles has been confirmed in seven California residents in 2015. All visited Disneyland or Disney California Adventure Park between 12/17/14 and 12/20/14. Of the seven confirmed cases, six were not vaccinated for measles: two were too young to be vaccinated, and one had received appropriate vaccination (two doses of MMR vaccine). Several large contact investigations are ongoing. The recent cases in California highlight the need for education and vigilance regarding measles and the increased need for vaccination to stop the spread of this highly contagious disease.
Read on for information about measles and the vaccine to prevent it.

Grades of Green Earth Tip
DRIVE LESS By saving just one gallon of gasoline (20 to 30 miles of driving in most conventional cars) you will prevent about 20 pounds of carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere. To save that gallon, consider taking public transportation or carpooling to work one day a week. Plan a route to make running your errands more efficient. Start a program to walk or bicycle for part of the week. Take a step away from your car and plan your car use!
