Safety Alert

HURRIED DRIVERS ENDANGER PEDESTRIANS We are sad to say Gator parents have been observed speeding on the streets around school and in the parking lot. Some have endangered students and other pedestrians by not double checking before pulling out into roads and walkways. Others have been seen rolling through stop signs. Please take care when driving, especially where students are walking.

2nd Annual Real Housewives of MB 4/18

COMEDY SHOW BENEFITS GVPTA GV parents and professional comedians perform at the 2nd Annual Real Housewives of Manhattan beach Comedy Show. Admission includes all you can eat El Gringo tacos (6:30-8:30pm) and a fantastic comedy show. Dinner and drinks start at 6:30pm and the laughs start at 8:00pm. This Saturday, 6-10pm, Hermosa Beach Kiwanis Club. Click for details and tickets.

Farmers Market & Hula Hoop Fun 4/17

FRESH VEGGIES! HULA HOOPING!! PRIZES!!! Bring your hula hoop or use one of ours for heaps of hula hoop fun with VIP referee Ms Wood! See if you can last longer than Champion Hula Hooper Mrs. Steinberg! There will be three prizes per grade for the most hula hoopers. Lots of fresh harvested veggies harvested from the children's garden will be available for purchase, so bring some cash. Upper playground, 2:45-3:30pm.

CHECK LOST & FOUND Stop by during the fun to look for your lost items. Unclaimed items will be donated after school on Friday.

COACHES SERIES PUMPS RUNNERS FOR GATOR 5K Join us from 7:45-8:05am on 4/15 for tips and prizes! Adam Krikorian, the coach of the United States Women's Olympic Gold Medal Winning Water Polo Team, is the first in our Coaches Series as we get ready for the Murad Family Foundation Gator Run 5K.

RUN ACROSS AMERICA - 22 STATES! We are passing through Bloomfield, Missouri, and our runners have collectively completed 5,513 miles. For more info visit gvpta.com/runclub.

GREAT GATORS ARE GREAT READERS 3,921 items were circulated during March. The students with the highest number of check outs per grade in March: Jeffrey Marcinkowski (5th), Luigi Salvaggio (4th), Alana Frank and Devin Ponciano (tied in 3rd grade), and Stella Seligson (2nd). A four-way tie in 1st grade: Scarlett Clements, Charlie Harding, Magnus Johnson, and Colin McGinley.

APRIL IS NATIONAL LIBRARY MONTH A GV tradition: treating the students to performances of Who's on First.

A FUN-FILLED NIGHT AT MB STUDIOS Founded in 2009 by four Grand View moms who wanted to make environmental protection second nature in the minds young children, today Grades of Green inspires and empowers more than 180,000 students across 39 states and six countries.
