Want Your Name on the Wall? Final 6 Days!
LAST CALL! BE A GREATER GATOR BY 9/30! 167 of our families -- 31% -- have become Greater Gators this year so far. 49% of our families were Greater Gators last year, so act fast to check this off your back-to-school to-do list!
WHAT IS A GREATER GATOR? GGs are families who support our school and help our volunteers save precious time by signing up for multiple programs very early in the year. Through the
GG page you can join the PTA, pay your room parents for classroom funds, buy your yearbooks, and donate to MBEF.
WE CAN'T THANK OUR GREATER GATORS ENOUGH But we will recognize your generosity with an exclusive travel coffee mug, and your family name and year will be painted on the new Greater Gator wall on the upper playground. Name already on the wall? We'll add the current year to ensure your continuous support is recognized!
BONUS Early access to the 2016-17 online student directory provided by 10/1.
New Visitor Manager Procedure
BEGINS OCTOBER 4TH We have an enhanced campus security system that requires visitors and volunteers to check in and check out from the front office. Visitors will need to register with their driver's license and take a photo. This registration is one time only. Then at each subsequent campus visit, check in at the front office to receive your date and time stamped photo ID sticker badge. Upon leaving, check out from the front office. While the system is slated to take effect October 4th, it is up and running as of now. Thank you for your cooperation as we work to improve campus security.
24th Street Drop-Off Reminders
FROM THE FRONT OFFICE Follow these procedures to prevent traffic from backing up on 24th Street, and to keep your children safe:
- Unloading begins at the upper playground fence. Pull forward as far as possible in the drop-off lane, filling in all gaps.
- Children should have their possessions by their side, ready to exit the vehicle quickly.
- Drivers remain in the car at all times. Driver side doors are to remain closed.
- Children unload from the passenger side only.
- Once your child has exited your vehicle you may exit the drop-off lane via the bypass lane to the left. This lane is for driving only - no unloading, loading, or stopping at any time.
- Right turn only out of the parking lot during posted hours.
Complete drop-off and pick-up procedures for 24th Street and Bell Avenue are outlined at
gvpta.com.
