Calling All Leaders

PTA LEADERSHIP POSITIONS AVAILABLE Are you a working parent who wants to be involved at Grand View? We have the perfect positions for working parents. The 2016-17 PTA Nominating Committee is looking for the next VP of Volunteers to serve on the PTA Executive Board. The position requires only two hours a month on campus, while the rest of the responsibilities may be performed online at your convenience. Parking Lot Change

NEW STAFF SPOTS ON VISITOR SIDE The middle eight spots on the right hand side of visitor parking are now painted STAFF. Visitors may still park in the top three and the bottom five spots on the right hand side.

Run Club

Budget Workshop 2/24

ALL ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE Staff will present info in a workshop format that will be used as the Board develops the 2016-17 budget. The 30-minute presentation will include:

The California Budget for Education
SoCalROC Budget for 2016-17
MBEF Budget for 2016-17
Other requests for school expenditures
The impact of these factors on the 2016-17 MBUSD Budget

After the presentation, the Board will invite participants to comment on issues related to the development of the 2016-17 budget. The 2016-17 budget workshop will be held at the District Office from 5:30-7:30pm.

Spare Change Wanted

CHANGE 4 CHANGE FUNDRAISER Our students are collecting spare change they may find, or may have around the house, to bring to their classroom. The Grand View Student Council will donate the money to St. Jude's Children's Hospital on 3/11 (new date) to help sick and injured children. A modest goal of $1 per student has been set. Thank you.

5th Gr. Book Club 2/25
