It is time for our teachers to thank each parent volunteer for the amazing number of hours given to make Grand View the "Happiest Place on Earth." If you have volunteered in the classroom, in the library, in the science lab, on a field trip, for a PTA event, or for a grade level extravaganza then you have earned a free ticket for our Annual Parent Volunteer Thank You get together. A light breakfast will be served and child care will be provided on the upper playground.

Final Days for Scrip - Forever!

Our scrip program will be discontinued on Friday, 6/12. Please help us sell our remaining inventory
. Think Father's Day, upcoming birthdays, and year-end giving. Online scrip orders
may be placed as of today and close Wednesday, 6/10. Or print the order form
and submit with a check to the PTA room by 6/10 with backpack delivery on 6/11. The last chance to purchase scrip will be Friday, 6/12 from 2:15-3pm at the lunch benches. Only cash or check payments will be accepted on 6/12. Quantities are limited. First come, first served.
Reimbursement Requests Due 6/12
FIRM DEADLINE - DON'T DELAY
Turn in GVPTA expense reimbursement requests to Keri Herczeg by Friday, 6/12. Print a check request form
or pick one up from the PTA room behind the file folder mailboxes. Include original receipts and a stamped, self-addressed envelope. Make a copy of forms and receipts for your records. Monday, 6/15, is the last check run.
Lost a Library Book?
LIBRARY MATERIALS DUE 6/8 FOR INVENTORY
If a library book is lost or damaged it must be paid for in order for the student to receive his or her final report card. If you feel our records are in error please email Heidi Snively

Sad News - How You Can Help
GRAND VIEW UNITES TO HELP CROSSING GUARD IN TIME OF LOSS
Our kind, caring, and beloved crossing guard Ms. Kay, who is stationed at 24th and Bell, recently suffered the unexpected death of her ex-husband. Several parents have expressed concern and interest in helping offset the untimely financial burden for Ms. Kay who now is the sole supporter of their 15-year-old son. Ms. Kay is a part of our Grand View family and we hope you will consider a donation to help out. The box will be in the front office and your kind donations will be delivered to Ms. Kay on Wednesday, 6/10. Questions? Contact Jessica Black
School Supplies for 2015-16

Classroom Emergency Kits for 2015-16
DEADLINE TO ORDER 9/15 Every student must have an emergency kit at school. EDP students need two kits: one for the classroom and one for the EDP room. And for peace of mind, some families order extra kits to keep at home and in the car. Order online at moreprepared.com. Kits have a 5-year shelf life, so order only if you don't have yours from last year to send with your child in the fall. Kits will be delivered to your child's classroom in late September. Questions?
