Joyful Holiday Giving Update

THANK YOU! Because of our generous Gator families, all the needy children on our holiday giving list have been spoken for.
WANT TO DO MORE? Bring in an unwrapped children's present by Wednesday, 12/14 to the PTA room. These presents will be delivered to Menlo Avenue School in Los Angeles to stock a holiday "store" where parents can select gifts for their children. Questions? Contact Anne Hellie or Ellen Padnos.

MBEF

HELP US MEET OUR GOALS! When you come on campus, you'll see our new MBEF banner that represents how close we are to meeting this year's Annual Appeal goals:
  • To raise $5.2M district-wide so that we can sustain existing programming.
  • To engage 100% of our families in this important effort.
EIGHT WEEKS With only eight weeks left of our Annual Appeal, 76% of our Gator families have participated and we still have $1.4M yet to raise district-wide. We hope you will give an amount that is meaningful for your family to help us meet these two important goals before January 31, 2017. Donate at mbef.org/givetoday.

CLASSROOM BONUS MBEF will gift $200 to every classroom with 75% or higher MBEF participation, and $250 to every classroom with 95% or higher. Curious as to how your classroom is doing? Check out the stats.

A Very Special Performance 12/18

ONCE UPON A ROAD TRIP BY CASEY ROHRER Grand View is very lucky to have secured a special encore performance of the sold-out show Once Upon a Road Trip on Sunday, December 18, 3pm, in the PAC. Written by Casey Rohrer, a local 14-year-old living with cerebral palsy, and co-written and directed by Angelo Michael Masino, the play chronicles one family's memorable trip to Yellowstone. Along with local actors, Casey performs in the play, speaking through his Tobii, an eye-tracking device. Ticket sales benefit a foundation that provides artistic experiences for special needs children. Click here for a video about the project. Click here for the flyer and visit familytheatreinc.com for more info. Click for tickets.

Shoe Drive Ends 12/21

USED SHOES WANTED - ALL SIZES Drop off used shoes --all sizes wanted-- in the donation box in the front office now to 12/21. Waste Management, in partnership with Grades of Green, will donate them through the Soles4Souls project. Click for a student-made video about last year's drive. While the dates are not current, we think you will be moved by the timeless message. Thank you!

Gator Gratitude

SOUND ARTS Thank you and congratulations to the students for four wonderful performances of "A First Class Holiday" and to all the volunteers who did so much. You are amazing! And many thanks to those who donated to the 1736 House Toy Drive.
