Service Dog Training at Grand View
Mrs. Abt is raising and training an assistance dog that will accompany her every day to school. The dog will remain in Room 2 in a crate or an exercise pen most of the school day for the first five months. Canine Companions for Independence is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people living with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs. For more info visit cci.org
Service dogs at school are the only exception to California Education Code. No other dogs are permitted on campus at any time (even when school is not in session) for any reason.
