A Message from the Principal

"The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit." Nelson Henderson
KEEP SPREADING KINDNESS
Keep the momentum going by performing simple but meaningful good deeds! "Planting Seeds: A Song to Live By"

CLOTHING DRIVE 3/13-3/15 Help break the cycle of poverty by kindly bringing in a gently used or new baby item to benefit the Good+ Foundation. Drop items in the collection bin in the front office Monday-Wednesday, or in the bin by PAC at the Nimo Patel assembly on Wednesday. Click here for more information about needed goods for young families. Questions? Contact Danika Knieriem.

NIMO PATEL ASSEMBLY 3/15 We will culminate our focus on Kindness with an uplifting performance by Nimo Patel in the PAC at 8:30am and 9:30am. Parents are welcome to attend. "Grateful: A Love Song to the World"

PHOTOS AVAILABLE Thank you to photographer and GV parent Steve Gaffney for capturing beautiful pictures of our students at the recent Kindness Matters Assembly! The photos are available for download at a nominal cost. Click here to view the gallery. Password: 455. Gratefully, Mrs. Doyle.

No Dogs Allowed on School Property

A REMINDER FROM THE FRONT OFFICE Dogs are not allowed on MBUSD school grounds at any time to maintain safety and cleanliness. This means dogs are not to be on walking paths or in parking lots. Dogs are to be leashed and are to remain on school perimeters, i.e., city streets and sidewalks. Be aware this rule is in effect every day of the year, not just when school is in session.

FREE Science Expo 3/15, 3-7pm

EXPLORE THE WONDERS OF SCIENCE! Check out the magic of science with robotics, coding, planets, amazing animals, and much more! Food trucks, too! Parent volunteers are needed to help with the exhibits. Please sign up here. For more info visit gvpta.com.

Gator Run Art Entries Due 3/17

KIDS! WE WANT YOUR ARTWORK! Draw, paint, or color our Grand View Gator running like a champion across the finish line! This is the 22nd Annual Murad Family Foundation Grand View Gator 5K. The winning design will be featured on t-shirts, banners, flyers, postcards, and websites. Qualifying designs must use only four (or fewer) colors. Black does not have to count as one of the colors. Entries are due 3/17 in the PTA room. Questions? Email Betsey Keely. Last year's design, pictured at left, was by Ella Luthro.

Last Call to Buy Yearbooks

DON'T MISS OUT! Order at gvpta.com. The kids love collecting signatures at the end of school, and you'll enjoy reminiscing over the pictures in the years to come. Can't remember if you ordered yours already? The list of orders to date should be up and running by Sunday. Questions? Email Sandy Quigley.
