Susong Family Ministries & FACES Ministry Update
FACES Ministry

There’s a saying:
When God closes a door, he opens a window.”

In the case of the FACES Ministry for 2017, God not only opened a window, he opened a completely new door of opportunity to minister to the most vulnerable children and families in the Ecuadorian society. This year, thanks to the excellent work of our dedicated staff, the Welfare Department of the national government of Ecuador has approved our ministry for three projects for the eradication of child labor and street begging. In conjunction with these new projects, we will be opening an additional feeding center in a nearby county which will minister to 50 new children. In order to administer these projects, that seek to work intensely with families caught in this situation, we need to raise a total monthly budget of $4,000 matching funds.

We are also very excited to report on a brand new initiative for 2017. Our missionary partners here at FACES, Elaine and Steve Sumner, have succeeded in forming a new ministry also approved by the Ecuadorian government. This is a revolutionary concept for Ecuador:  the formation and training of Foster Families! Elaine will be recruiting Christian Ecuadorian couples who would like to open their home to abandoned and abused children in need of emergency care and/or long term foster care. The welfare department was so enthralled with the idea, they offered to fund a counseling and social work staff to work with the children’s families! FACES will be assisting with the administration of the project in conjunction with our other ministries. The matching funds for this project is a total of $1,600 monthly.

Dan and Teresa are in need of personal support to help keep them on the field and have returned to the US to visit churches.  If you can help with a donation to their project please send your donation to project number:

And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.  Acts 22:16

We are filled with joy at the baptism of two very special young men, Angel, and Jimmy, one of our much loved Ecuadorian sons. Jimmy testified about how God has been moving in his life as Dan and two of their mentors had the privilege of dunking them under the cold, cold water of the Andes mountains. A very happy group of witnesses enjoyed the day with us. Praise the Lord!!

Look how God is moving in Ecuador through the FACES Ministry! Please send your tax-deductible offering today to make it possible for FACES to continue these life-saving ministries to the most needy children of Ecuador.

“When my father and mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.” Psalm 27:10
