FatC Newsletter #3
Hi folks,
It's totally and completely new newsletter time, since I pretty much failed to send one last month.
This time, unlike last time and the time before, I really am going to try and keep it brief.
First off, we've a gig at The Spice Of Life in London on 10th April. Details are
here and there's more on the
Facebook invite (to which you may consider yourself invited if I haven't clicked 'invite' on you already). It's free in - we're playing an opening set at the Spice's Tuesday night blues jam, so if you're a musician yourself (and I know many of you are) do bring an instrument so you can sit in on some blues later in the evening.
In other news, I wrote a new song last month, called
Festival Of Fools, which I'm quite pleased with, though if I don't end up playing any major festivals at all this summer, you might get an idea of why by listening to the song. Just a rough demo for now - proper version to come in due course :)
Finally, those of you vaguely following the comic might be interested to know that I've (finally) introduced a new character -
Music Marketing Panda. This is partly because it's high time, and partly because there are so many opportunities for satire with such a character that I couldn't resist. Apologies for the fact that comic updates are still highly intermittent - I'm trying to rectify this.
That's it. I wanted to end with a joke but all I can think of is the highly unsuitable one where the punchline is N-Dubz. (Ask me at a gig.)
Cheers,
Wayne
