Giving Thanks in 2020
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for training with us in the past, present and hopefully in the future as well. Thank you for embracing our training philosophy, some of which is exactly for days like these. The pandemic hits us out of nowhere. No one was prepared or had the knowledge of how to deal with it. And here we are, still in the midst of it, still carrying uncertainty, confusion and fear that unfortunately leads us to make bad decisions.
Making decisions under stress is obviously not recommended, but when we are unprepared and facing a scenario like this, we have to react with the best that we've got to give. This is exactly what we have been training for: be active not passive, do not shut down or deny - Face it, respond, take responsibility and if our actions and responses were not great, we should fix them, improve and keep moving forward. I believe that one of the most important skills that we should have is the ability to adapt our skills to life changes. This philosophy/mindset is what Tactica's core training is based on.
Do not let this pandemic push you to unhealthy solitude. Solitude can lead to many problems, both mental and physical. Find a way to create safe social interaction with your community, as it is well-known that being a part of a community is one of the healthiest ways for us humans to live. Unless this solitude made you believe that you are not human…….:)
So, I want to thank you for being strong for your community, for yourself and, bear in mind, extreme hardship is a sign that good things are to come...but only if you are willing to take the route of growth, which is never easy.
May the Shwartz be with you … :) And happy Thanksgiving to you all.
