Membership time is here! Packs, troops and crews are ready to kick off the program year and there are many ways to reach out to families to join your unit.
Resources to help boost your units recruitment:
Geofencing AD: Having a social media presence for your unit helps tremendously to spread awareness of scouting. You can advertise your pack a week before your school night and boost it to increase awareness to parents in your area. To find out more on how to do geofencing for your unit watch this video here.
Yard Signs: Pick up yard signs from your district executive and make sure there are signs up at your school, neighborhood and charter organization.
Word of Mouth: Simply asking friends to join is the most effective way to recruit. Many families report that they never considered joining Scouting because they were never asked.
5-5-5 Plan: The 5 things a Cub Scout Pack needs to do before, during and after their open house.
Leadership Status report: This form will help share where your pack needs the most help. Share this with your unit commissioner and develop a plan.
Open House Agenda and Check List are two forms that will help you and your pack plan and be prepared on your open house night.
