First AGM held 12 September

At our first AGM we appointed a new board of directors. You can also download our Annual Review for 2012/13.

Busiest Summer Reading Challenge in Suffolk

Over 7,800 children took part in this year's ‘Creepy House’ challenge, reading nearly 35,000 books over the summer holidays—a record summer.

We've published some lovely book reviews from this year's participants.

If your child has completed the challenge there are still a few awards ceremonies to attend. You can also see photos from the ceremonies (including a visit from the Gruffalo to Beccles Library).

Reading groups

Sign up to the National Reading Groups website for reading group offers, including free books for your group.

There are some useful resources and information for reading groups on our website.

We also publish monthly reading lists and run a virtual book group with BBC Radio Suffolk's Lesley Dolphin.

Jobs and volunteer opportunites

We have openings at Newmarket and Ipswich County libraries. We're also looking for a mobile library manager in Saxmundham, and volunteer stock advisors. See our jobs page for details.
