Dear <<First Name>>

The Skating Club of San Francisco, Inc. (SCSF, Club) has great news for our current members: our membership year now ends on June 29, 2016. This means our current members receive an extra month of membership with all the benefits that come with a membership to SCSF, one of the oldest and most established member clubs of U.S. Figure Skating. Also, although U.S. Figure Skating has increased its fees charged to us for registering members, our Club membership rates for the 2016-2017 year have not increased, and, we have reduced our membership fees for Collegiate, Introductory, and Associate member categories. We also offer discounted memberships for additional immediate family members. With the closure of Belmont Iceland, we welcome all of our skaters to the beautiful Yerba Buena Ice Skating & Bowling Center in downtown San Francisco. Street parking is available without charge until 9:00 am on Saturday morning and there are convenient parking garages across from Yerba Buena on Folsom and on 3rd Streets.

What’s New for the 2016-17 Membership Year
  • We will implement the EntryEeze registration system programs to manage registration for: membership; tests; Saturday morning Club ice and other practice sessions; annual gala; and, our annual competitions.
  • Expanded 2-hour Saturday morning Club ice sessions beginning May 7th – August 27th from 5:45 to 7:45 a.m., and from September through February, will offer 90-minute sessions from 6:15 – 7:45 a.m., returning to the 2-hour sessions in March of 2017.

Note: Skaters may continue to purchase 30-minute ice slots with their existing punch cards through May 21st (no session on the Memorial Day weekend). Punch cards with unused punches may be redeemed for a check.

  • The EntryEeze on-line practice ice registration system will be used beginning with the June 2016 Club ice sessions. The registration process will be similar to the process that was used for Belmont practice ice. Skaters may purchase a discounted pre-paid on-line ‘punch card’ package or buy single sessions up to one month in advance with a credit card. Skaters must be Club members in order to use the advance registration system. Each 30-minute slot is limited to a maximum of 25 skaters and sign-up by EntryEeze will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Once a session fills up, you can be put on a waiting list.
  • We will have a Registration Renewal Meet and Greet coffee hour at the Yerba Buena party room on Saturday, May 21st, from 7:30 am – 8:30 am to answer questions and give a demonstration of the new on-line registration systems.

SCSF Member Benefits
Our Club’s mission is to support your enjoyment of the sport, whether you are working towards a competitive career, or, for your own recreation and personal achievements.
Your Club membership continues to offer many benefits that support a wide variety of skating programs. Our Club is the only Bay Area figure skating club that currently offers programs supporting skaters in singles, dance, pairs, synchronized skating teams (the Tremors), and theater on ice (San Francisco Ice Theatre).

The Club will continue to host regularly scheduled monthly U.S. Figure Skating test sessions, and, the Club and Yerba Buena Management are proud to announce that the Silver Spin / Shamrock Skate combined competition will be held at Yerba Buena on March 4-5, 2017. Critique sessions are available on request for all our Club members by the Club’s Gold, National, and International officials. We will continue to offer a yearly Gala fund raising event at Yerba Buena to provide our skaters an opportunity to have valuable pre-competition performance practice in front of an audience of skating fans, and opportunities to compete in our annual competitions, Skate San Francisco and Silver-Spin /Shamrock Skate.

When renewing your Club membership to The Skating Club of San Francisco, Inc, please know this Club is run entirely by volunteers. Our Board members are former competitive skaters, U. S.
