Kyneton Forum for Democratic Renewal
4 pm Sunday 7th August

This afternoon at 4pm at Kyneton Secondary College in Epping Street.

Special speaker Steb Fisher, Honorary Research Fellow at Federation University Australia, will be presenting  powerful ideas to help us all face an uncertain future, with hope, courage and resolve.

This is part of a series of Forums for Democratic Renewal in the Macedon Ranges initiated by a group of people who are investigating ideas about how to bring  true democracy and open government back to the people.

Rob Bakes, organiser, makes delicious pizzas afterwards. Other food and refreshments will be available.

Open Edible Garden Day
Saturday 3rd September
Between 10am and 4pm at various times for only one day
Ten gardens will be open on this day, in and around Kyneton, demonstrating edible gardens in progress, from vegetables, to fruit and nut trees, herbs, companion plants, bird and insect-attracting.

You will find new ways of improving soil, composting, wicking beds, hugelkultur, irrigation and more.

These gardens are not what you would call immaculate but they demonstrate the work and consideration that goes into them to provide healthy, fresh produce for the household.

Two community gardens and a school garden will also be open to show what the school and community can achieve together.

A list of the gardens and opening hours can be found in the Daffodil and Arts Festival brochure which will be in all shops soon or at the festival hub at the Kyneton Mechanics Institute over the time of the festival 1 – 11 September.
