March Programs for Kids and Families

Family Dumplings & Lantern Festival
Preschoolers! The library has some changes afoot to better meet families’ Storytime needs. There will now be two storytimes each week. Amy welcomes kids of all ages to all her preschool programs. The tried and true Wednesday Storytime with Amy will continue and will be pitched at children around 2 years old. In addition, the new Tuesday Storytime starts on March 14 and will be pitched at children 3-4 years old.
Preschool Nature Walk will be moving to Fridays. Check RHPL’s calendar for specifics each week as we meet in different parks in the Red Hook area.
All Abilities Kids Music and Movement is for kids who want to stretch, sing and dance with Stevie Knipe and Amy. While the program is designed for kids with intellectual and developmental disabilities, it’s fun for all. Registration is required as space is limited.

Homeschooling families looking to connect with others in the local area are meeting up later this month to share ideas & info. This is a chance for new-to-homeschooling parents to speak with experienced homeschoolers about what has worked for them.
Round out the month with Stuffie Takeover! That’s right the stuffies are taking over the library. Come for Pajama Storytime, make a blanket for your stuffie and tuck them in – maybe this time the stuffies will behave! Registration is required.
LEGO Club, Minecraft Club, and Libratory all continue this month.
