I hope you can join me next Thursday, July 16th @ 12:00 pm for a virtual town hall entitled "Clean Energy in the time of a Pandemic: How the Clean Energy Jobs Act will create the foundation for a clean energy future and recovery from COVID-19." I will be co-hosting this event with my colleagues Rep. Ann Williams and Sen. Sara Feigenholtz, as well as representatives from the Illinois Environmental Council and the Citizens Utility Board for a conversation on how community-based advocacy can help propel CEJA and Illinois into a healthier, more stable future.
Please RSVP for this free event by registering via this GoToWebinar link. I hope to see you there!
Over the last four months we have seen the devastating effects of the global spread of the novel coronavirus, which has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives in the U.S. and over half a million worldwide. Understandably, our focus has been on the pandemic itself and the wide-ranging repercussions it has had on our lives and communities around the state. In response to this crisis, it is vitally important we rebuild our post-COVID economy by investing in a foundation of clean, renewable energy.
Yours in service,
State Representative, 12th District
